Ever since becoming the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama has been the center of world attention. Logically, when you have media eyes on you 24-7, everyone is going to know what you like to wear. And in Barack Obama’s case, this would be a Tag Heuer luxury watch. Tag Heuer is a Swiss manufacturer of luxury watches, glasses, and cellphones, and has been in business since 1860. The Tag Heuer watch that Obama wears is the TAG Heuer Series 1500 Two-Tone Diver with a brown leather band.

When Barack Obama began his campaign to become President, fashionists began to pay close attention to his watch. However, the Tag Heuer isn’t a new watch that Obama had just bought; he had been wearing that exact same watch since 1991, long before the world was paying carefully attention to his every step. Basically, you can say that Barack Obama has a certain loyalty to the Tag Heuer brand. His watch was him during his campaign to make history and become president of the United States.

Now, I know that there may be some of you out there that are hoping to get the same watch as Barack Obama. Unfortunately the exact watch that he has was discontinued in 1998. You can still find watches of similar style on Tag Heuer’s website. Also, recently, Barack Obama seemed to have replaced his Tag Heuer with the Secret Service chronograph, a gift for his birthday from the Secret Service agents that protected him during his campaign. This watch is even harder to get then Obama’s Tag Heuer watch, since it is only available to employees of the Secret Service.

Despite not wearing the Tag Heuer during his Inauguration, Obama has been seen wearing the Tag Heuer 1500 watch again. During the first State Dinner of his Presidency, he wore the watch. He also wore his Tag Heuer while accepting the Nobel Peace Prize. Besides the 2 watches already mentioned, Obama has also been seen with a Highgear Enduro Compass watch, particularly while involved in sport. He was also seen wearing the Highgear Enduro Compass watch while inspecting the damage done to the beaches by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
